Texas' Premier Bow Hunting Only Ranch

   Sweetwater Creek Bow Hunting would like to welcome you to our bow hunting only facility. Our hunting packages are all inclusive. There are no trophy fees charged when you harvest your trophy (Or any other hidden fees.). The hunting area is a 2500 acre tract within the nearly 10,000 acre Waggoner and Sauder Ranch, a large cattle and horse operation, near Decatur, Texas (Wise county).  We are only 45 minutes northwest of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, with airport pickup available at Dallas-Ft. Worth International. The terrain is varied and full of cover, with Sweetwater Creek running the length of the property. Stands and feeders are in place at strategic locations within the high fenced area. A feed route is run each day, roads and trails next to stand locations are corned as well.

   There are several different species of exotic game, as well as whitetail deer, wild feral hogs, and Rio Grande turkey. We recently added over 70 head of Buffalo (American Bison) and Rocky Mountain Bull Elk to the ranch and now offer hunting packages for these majestic game animals. Bow hunters looking for a good hog hunt need not look any further than Sweetwater Creek Bow Hunting. Hogs are plentiful in the hunting area and some are truly huge! Our animals are extensively managed for trophy quality. While our whitetail deer and Rio Grande turkey may only be hunted during seasons set by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the exotics and hogs are available to hunt year-round. Hunting licenses are available locally over-the-counter or in advance by phone (check card/credit card required) at 1-800-895-4248. You may also buy your groceries in nearby Decatur.

   While hunting with us you will stay in our  very comfortable hunting lodge and meals will be provided. The lodge adds the finishing touch to the experience of a true Texas ranch hunt. This is not your average hunting shack, but a fully equipped rustic retreat that takes the pains out of a long day in the field. Around the lodge you will find a game room, fire pit, archery range, horseshoe pit, outdoor grill, a processing area and walk-in freezer for storing your game after the hunt. Off site taxidermy and game processing is available for an additional fee. (Deposits required, please inquire.)

   We have been fortunate enough to have hunters from all over the country experience our hospitality and great hunting each year since. This year should only get better. We have added a few new species to the exotic game available by adding buffalo and elk. We expect to have a phenomenal trophy whitetail buck harvest in 2008, mature bucks are everywhere! Then there is the hogs. Our 'hog factories', the sows, have been in full production and our pig populations are very high right now.
